Pennsylvania In Play-At Least for the Dems

How long has it been, since Pennsylvania's late primary has been in play for a Presidential election? I honestly don't remember.

The Democrats have a lot to scream about in the Keystone State, a chance to pick a Presidential candidate...it's heady stuff. Already just a couple of days following Texas and Ohio, the national media is already camped out in PA ready to put us in the news on a daily basis.

Not only is it good for Democrat voters, but hopefully it will be good for the economy, what with all the money that will be spent. Sure, I hope our organization will get a piece of the ad pie.

Two "downers" to the unfolding events however.

  1. McCain and the Republicans have nothing to crow about, which means not a lot of publicity and,
  2. KING EDWARD I will be getting a lot of national Face-time. Just what we need, more ego-feeding for Fast Eddie.

It could just make him even more cocky, which could mean a harder time for the Republicans in the Legislature to get control of the state budget which is now under debate.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but we can't afford another bloated and LATE state budget. And our Gov has already been running rough-shod through the Legislature. Do we need him with an even bigger hat size?
